Robust, Durable and Versatile
The Hillcat 1700 is an all steel construction, built to the highest standards to provide
a heavy duty workhorse for the industrial market place. The compact and powerful,
turbo diesel engine coupled to a fully hydrostatic, high torque transmission allows
the 1700 to push, pull and carry large payloads and still deliver class leading off road
performance. The 1700 is fitted with two speed hydraulic motors allowing the operator
to instantly switch between high torque / low speed mode for hill driving to low torque /
high speed mode for less steep terrain and hill road driving.
Safe and Reliable
The Hillcat 1700 is fitted with a fully certified ROPS, 3-point safety belts, operator
presence seat switch and fail-safe hydraulically released multi-disc braking, offering a
very high level of operator and crew safety. The forward driving position, large
windshield area, and powerful exterior lighting allow excellent operator vision in all
directions. The front cab is fitted with three seats giving space for the operator plus
two passengers. The cargo area of the vehicle may be fitted with a removable and
fully certified ROPS, heavy duty PVC canopy and removable, passenger seats and lap
belts for up to six personnel.
Hydrostatic Drive, Hebel steering and Precise Control
Ample engine power coupled to the simple and robust fully hydrostatic drive, allow
access to maximum torque and engine power at any ground speed and in any
direction. This combined with a ‘no-engine-stall’ characteristic and a servo-assisted
Hebel steering system, provides easy ‘fingertip’ control and excellent
manoeuvrability at any speed over the toughest terrain. The excellent vehicle
balance, fixed axles and rigid hull ensure that the eight driven high flotation tires or
‘over-tire’ track system are kept in contact with the maximum ground surface at all
times.
Multi-Purpose Versatility
The 1700 is a hard working 8X8, capable of supporting front and rear 3-point
linkages with up to 22 HP hydraulic PTO. The high traction and torque produce
plenty of push and pull, with a maximum of 2500 kg towed load or a 500 kg
supported tool or implement weight. The Hillcat 1700 with the appropriate certification
and street lighting may be used on public roads and highways. Scot Track offer a
design and build service using the 1700 as a platform on which to build a vehicle to
suit specific customer requirements.
