so does anyone vol. for any local Search and Rescue? I started by letting the local SAR know I would donate the cat and my time if they had an event... but then I thought if I am going to work with the guys I might as well join and get to know them...
just wondering if anyone else uses there cats for searches.

I have a '84 Bombardier Bombi that I have made available the the Sault Ste. Marie Search and Rescue organization that I am a member of.

Matt,

I've been toying with that idea, once I get my sno cat finished. However, my trailer is a car hauler with cribbing to get the tracks above the fenders. It's okay for transporting once in a great while, but I don't want to be using it to move the Tucker frequently.

Since I live year round on the mountain and own snow cats, snowmobiles, a mattrack vehicle and ATV's, I unofficially end up in some of these incidents. The local LE knows me and knows my equipment so we have an understood type relationship. Most of the time I end up helping people who are broke down or just stuck on the mountain prior to ever calling on SAR.

Thanks for the welcome, Matt (no pun intended).

Right now I live in Park City, UT, but I hope to be moving to Montana within a few years (trying to stay a step ahead of the California herd).

My Sno Cat(s) are for use in Montana where I'll be living in a somewhat remote area, at least in winter.
