as you guys are putting your pretty snow cats away for the season i'm now just getting ramped up for some long trips this one took me out 47 miles from nome at an average speed of about 10mph because the last storm left things so rough i manned a check point with ems and the local ham club for a big snowmachine race on the iditarod trail between nome and golivin i was up inthe hills gps said 800 feet which made for a nice veiw when i hit the coast comming back i left at 0600 in the morning and was back intown at 2000 in the evening with the sun still up the days will be getting longer now i'm planning on taking this next week off to shuttle people in the snow cat on the way out my electric fuel pump died so i put on my mcgyver hat and relocated the fuel tank on top of the snow trac than pulled out my texas credit card hooked it up between the fuel tank and carb giving a suck on the hose to get fuel flowing and had some one else comming this way on a snowmachine drop off a new fuel pump things went smooth for me didn't have to evac any riders out but the bv206 closer to town had to pull 2 riders out one with a compound fracture in a femer the other rider went out on a back board with unknown injurys
