Safety One Classes

Hey all...
There is a safety class being put on by Safety One in Fairbanks this December.
I wondered if anyone on FF has attended the class before and also wanted to know if FF has any Safety One members...

Our member Snowcat Operations (Mike) attended some of the Safety One classes, I think in Colorado. He spoke very very highly of the school and its owner.

I have never taken any of their official classes but I have attended snow cat functions sponsored by Safety One in the past. Art Seeley and his crew of instructors have a vast amount of great knowledge and can put on a school or program that keeps you enthused and excited. They are at their best when teaching/instructing others in the specialty areas they know so well and they have actually lived the life they are instructing. I know of no other organization with the real world experience and ability in their specialty areas of instruction and as able to share as this group at Safety One.

I went to one of the "shoot-outs" they did about 2 years ago up in Truckee CA. Lots of fun! The staff was great, and had a ton of knowledge to give out even to those of us that were just there to play a bit in the deep powder. They even had Mr. Maxey (from Maxey trailers) there to answer questions about how to haul the cats.

I think that is who hubby and his brother took an avalanche/first aid class through a few years ago (I think it was at Mt.Baker) - definitely a good thing to have done!
