rusky ingenuity

Not sure how they got the poles to hookup underneath the front of the suv... It would have to be quite solid as it would carry all the load at first.

Other wise very creative thinking.

Appears poles were just used as a ramp to get over trhe edge. Stuck into bottom?, lashed together, and then lines attached from the "winch" drum to the car. Those lines must have been interesting to attach though:w00t2:

I once pulled a full-size Chevy out of a swamp. It had several inches of suspension lift, but even so, the bumper barely cleared the water. The guy's girlfriend somehow got picked to hook a tow strap onto the truck. So she climbed out onto the bumper and leaned over to hook it on. She leaned too far.:whistling:

So she goes head first into the swamp. We all figured the next sound we'd hear would be her bitching. But she comes up laughing! Quite a gal.

Watched it again and I see you are right. And, wouldn't it take a diver to attach those lines? I sure couldn't do it....:whistling:

that still reminds me of the time I dropped my 3/4 ton gmc through the ice it had 35x1250 tires 4 inches of lift and was in over the top of the head lights 4 inches wouldn't support it but 4 1/2 inches of ice would

mine was my last time I will be more careful that was a lot of work chopping ice back to the bank to drag it out the next day I had to pull rear axle shafts and un lock the hubs to drive home t-case was full of water diff full of water and crank case full of water and what a mess when it all thawed
