Round Baler

New member
looking to buy a 1983 vermeer round baler - 403 super g - 3 x 4 bales.$2500.
I have a 235 massey and a Zeter 5245. I was wondering if this was a good older baler or should I be looking for something else. Can not find much information about them Thanks

muskeg,

I think I may know some one with this baler. I will check to be sure it is the same model. He seems to get along fine with his. The bale it makes is not a large one by ay means. But for the small tractor owner, or the guy with a few head of live stock to feed, maybe it is a good idea. If I remember correctly, the guys says they weigh about 800 lbs., of grass hay.

The company is very alive and well, in Pella Iowa, 2 hours from here. they have a diverse product line. I would think parts from them or their dealerships wouldn't be a problem.

Around here though it is not a very popular bale size, and they don't have very good resale value, for that reason.

Regards, Kirk
