Romex Stapler

Klaatu barada nikto
I have several wiring projects to do this winter, as well as the constant improvements of the barn wiring. I have always used the hammer in type staples for non-metalic wiring (romex), either the bent staple type, or the two nails held together with a plastic part. I really hate these, as I sometimes don't get them straight, or I nick the cable and have to replace a run. Has anybody ever seen a pneumatic stapler for NMC? I picture one similar to my framing nailer and coil roofing nailer, but I haven't been able to find on on the net or at a store.

That would sell if something was available for sure. I've never seen anything like that though. Maybe one of our resident inventors could come up with something.

Another tool I went looking for was a Romex sheathing stripper. I had one once, but I guess someone needed it more than I. It was similar to linesmens, but it had notches in it to rip sheathing on #12 & #14 Romex. I think it was made by Klien.

Dave, I don't know if I ever saw a pneumatic one, but I have used a hand operated one. Looks similar to your average t-50 Arrow stapler. Not worth the money, never did work to my satisfaction.

Hey Dave, my buddy has an electical business and showed me the hand operated one last week. He says he loves it and wouldn't go without it. His father works with him and he doesn't like it. Said it was to difficult to operate. I tried it and it does seem tough to work, but it seems as though it would save a good amount of time. I was wiring last night and thought how nice it would have been.
