Romex cable clamps

johnday

Alright, who has a code book handy? What I'm looking for is any mention of how many romex conductors can be clamped with one clamp when entering a service panel? It seems that at one time, it didn't matter unless the sheathing was crushed or damaged in any way. Anyone know if this is true, or if it ever was?:tiphat::beer:

John,
A lot of things were true in the good old days. Or at least we thought they were "true".

The NEC will not say how many cables can be in there. You'll have to see how many UL says will pass the pull-out test, the damage test, blah blah blah.
Some of the commonly used ones will accomodate 2 cables.

Thanks Jerry. I tried to look that up in a codebook at the plant one of the sparkys had. I got called out on an equipment problem, and I never got back to it.:a1::tiphat::beer:
