Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons snipped fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 cup chopped bell pepper (about 1 medium)
  • 2 (6-inch) pita breads, cut into halves
  • 1/3 pound thinly sliced lean roast beef
  • 1 cup alfalfa sprouts
Preparation:

  1. Mix yogurt, dill weed and mustard; stir in bell pepper.
  2. Fill each pita bread half with 1/3 cup yogurt mixture and 1/4 of the beef and alfalfa sprouts.

Sorry, but we are starting with 1/3 of a pound of beef and splitting that into 4 sandwiches? That makes 1/12th of a pound of beef per sandwich?!? Seriously that is just over 1 ounce. I'd prefer to go to the old style Jewish Deli (Star Deli) where they slap almost a full pound of meat on a sandwich!!!

You have popped in with three posts that are food related, and we don't know jack about you. Care to tell us about yourself in the introduction thread? At least say hello and make your presence know.

It's obvious it's a "Ladies Portion" since there's virtually no meat and lots of rabbit food and yogurt on it. Gotta be one of those finger foods the ladies eat at showers where they don't make any foods that make you belch or fart.:brows:

Ladies Portion . . . didn't think of that. Sort of like those little cucumber sandwiches they serve at summer parties before a real meal?

Yes this is definetly for small portions. I can easily eat 10 of them. I's perfect as appetizers in small parties or home meetings.
