Ring and pinion early 70’s SV250

Smiler

New member
After pulling the differential cover all looks really good except you guessed it the ring and pinion. The ring gear has a small ridge and the pinion has a one or two 3/16” chips on most teeth. I’m looking for advice:
Where can I get parts?
Is this a complicated job that should be done at a snowcat shop?
Do the new ring and pinion gears last longer?
And of couses what should I expect to pay to fix this?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I've gotten really good help and advice from forum member Boggie. I bet he'll post a response once he sees your request. I think maybe he specializes in Bombardier.

Boggie. You keep askin' and we keep tellin'!

BOGGIE. He's the biggest Bombardier source in the USA. Plain and simple. Best prices and service.

Smiler, sorry I have been hunting for a week. yes we have new and used ring and pinions. where are you located. if you have never done this before
it could be more than you want to take on. retail on a new ring an pinion is 1300.00 but we can do better than that we always try to give the members a break. we also have the flexator shells and arms if you need them.
