Retirement and Bass Fishing

Well, after extensive searching for a job and not having any success with any perspective employment , a couple of weeks ago I decided

to give up on working and retire. I wanted to spend all my time indulging in my favorite hobby. Bass Fishing. I went out and bought a really nice Bass Boat. While at the boat dealer I met Sam who loves Bass Fishing and is the owner of a tackle and bait store. We became good friends and commenced to go Bass Fishing together ever time we had the chance during the last couple of weeks. The last time we went Bass Fishing I caught a really nice Bass and Sam caught it's twin a few minutes later. Well due to several unforeseen incidents my wife nagged and nagged, because she doesn't like fishing, and I was away from home a lot the last two weeks, I had to give up fishing and put my new boat in really long storage and give her the key. I was really heart broken because I like Bass Fishing so much. I just didn't know what to do until it dawned on me that maybe Dr. Phil could help. I wrote him the e-mail below for an answer to my problem. Here is what I wrote explaining my situation. Since I can't go Bass Fishing with Sam anymore I have come out of my two week retirement and am now seeking gainful employment again so please keep me in mind if you have something I can help you with. Have a good day and be safe.

Dear Dr. Phil,

When I retired, I could hardly wait to spend time enjoying my favorite pastime -- bass fishing. I got my own little fishing boat and tried to get my wife to join me, but she just never liked fishing.

Finally, one day at the Bait & Tackle Shop, I got to talking to Sam the shop owner who it turned out loves bass fishing as much as I do. We quickly became fishing buddies.

As I said the wife doesn't care about fishing. She not only refuses to join us she always complains that I spend too much time fishing.

A few weeks ago Sam and I had the best fishing trip ever. Not only did I catch the most beautiful bass you've ever seen, only a few minutes later Sam must have caught his twin brother! So I took a picture of Sam holding up the two nice bass that we caught and showed the picture to the wife hoping that maybe she'd get interested.

Instead she says she doesn't want me to go fishing at all anymore! And she wants me to store the boat! I think she just doesn't like to see me enjoying myself.

What would you do? Tell the wife to forget it and continue my hobby or quit fishing and store the boat as she insists?
Thanks.

P.S. Enclosed below is a picture of Sam with the two bass we caught

Dear James,

Get rid of that narrow minded wife.

That's a nice pair of bass!

Sincerely,
Dr. Phil
