you can have that one, IMO it is not a 25K cat. just My Opinion....

but lets keep the price up on these machines. :brows:

hmm... I had a photo of this one from a couple years ago... someone was hunting it...
In terms of the $25K... when the 4T10 went for $25K on eBay (yea, it had the gaudy interior...yes...all custom), it set a new bar and that was a 4T10. The pig was somewhere around $8K... the Wyo 602 about $14 or 15K.... so a 601 custom... $25K is doable... again, if that 4T10 got $25K and that was all cosmetic.
But, would you or I pay $25K? no... but someone hunting for a nice 601... in a normal economy, pre-season someone would pick that up... especially when some full cab super imps go for $18K-22K...and north to $30K for some. http://wyoming.craigslist.org/rvs/2243937499.html

If you figure a running 601 that is complete will have people fighting over it for 10K or so, add another 10K to paint, belt, tire, sproket, weld/fix, transport, ect. I think the asking price is a little high but still well within orbit if all that stuff's been done right. (other than the color choices)

Still pending... we'll see. There are 3 FI 601's I know of... I saw this one in person a while back but here are some pics I had from elsewhere... have more pics but this shows most of it.

Now here we have what I would think would be one of the best gasoline engines for any appllication, especially a snow cat. Super torque from the long runner fuel injection manifold. Computor control, most likely EEC IV, with MAP sensor, or better put altitude compesation..... She needs alot of work but the choice of power plants is impecable. I own one of these engines with nearly 8,000 hrs. on it. Will make a great cat when finished.

Regards, Kirk

Agree, but one of the other forum members is currently browsing it... so I'm only in-line... I didn't jump at it when I first saw it two years ago so not the end of the world. The cat itself is still in ok shape but like you said, needs work... but the engine is nice, albeit shoe-horned in... would have been great to have a hydraulic cab like on some rigs like the custom Vangroomer. Easy to get at the engine then.

I know were some of those pics came from...cause i took them.

The good: the engine and trans,

The bad: this cat has a bunch of wood screws screwed throught the skin holding up the wood and insulation inside the cab and the rear end (oc-15)is held together with jb weld. The tracks are in sad shape as well. JB WELD an 0c-15?

Yea, you took some and I took some myself... I saw it in person as well.

Seems like Utah is a place where machines are found but folks don't tend to post them.

When they say "custom marine grade interior and paint" on the OP'd machine they weren't kidding! I had a 1980 boat that looked almost exactly like that, inside and out!

Well done... I would have bought it if you passed on it... it's worth every cent and then some ... no doubt.
PS... Boggie did not break the gentleman's respect of dibs... he had discussions going prior to my dibs.
