Replacing brake line and adjusting bands on a OC15.

I blew the brake line that goes to the left slave cylinder on my Thiokol 601. I have a new line made up just waiting for warmer weather to do the work. After I replace this how do I adjust the brake bands on the OC15 differential? There are big nuts on the ends of the slaves. The steering wasn't bad before the line went, but I think it could be better.

Pull the OC-15 top cover and you'll see where the rod goes through the band connection and has an adjusting nut.

So it's the long bolts that will tighten the brake bands.

Is there a set procedure to adjusting the brakes. Do I need to make some kind of gasket when I replace the cover?

Spryte improvement has gaskets or you can use silicon. Caution to keep it from squeezing into the Dif.
