Tail lights were made by Bosch and are VW surplus.
There were several different types of lights used, depending on what was available. The Aktiv factory simply bought surplus parts, or parts that were discontinued from a prior year and placed them on the machines.

i used betts led lights on mine smooth and bulletproof if you want some thing that looks more origional take a look at bv206 tail lights just replace the bulbs with 12 v bulbs
