I wonder if some are just non practicing religion. I also thought the Christianity was kind of high as i always heard Islam was by far the biggest religion in the world. The bible says the Antichrist will kill 1/4th of the worlds population (which will be the christians) and yet there will be some left for Jesus to take up with him so actually i guess the 33% may be about right. That is gonna be a debate i'll introduce in the future on who the Antichrist will be. He can't be alive today because the bible says he comes out of the bottomless pit.

Did you notice that 16% included Theists? Theists believe in God, but not religion.
Compare the global stats with the U.S. stats.
Over 95% of Americans are religious or believe in God.
Over 75% of Americans are Christian.
Less than ½ of 1% of Americans are atheist, and they’re creating the problems.
Why do our courts turn themselves inside out for such a small percentage?
No one is forcing atheists to believe in God.
Americans must appear really gullible or soft headed to the rest of the world.
No wonder Americans command so little respect.
I believe the water is muddied a bit because Chritianity incompasses several groups.. So, no offence, I havent spent a whole lot of time on that site either.. Does it go into individual beliefs of each religion? Again, just curious of whos' right... With so many religions, some must be wrong... Isnt it hypocritical to assume that someone elses religion is wrong, and yours is the only one that is right??

One other clarification. By Democrats and Republicans, I don't mean politicians. I mean "We the People." It is OUR fault.
WE are either stupid or apathetic for not unifying as Americans and ORDERING the politicians what to do.

Over the weekend I found myself following links and ended up reading some websites from radical homosexual rights groups. Why would I do that you ask - well I think of it as knowing your enemy. In among other announcements were paragraphs talking about this protest march and that protest march and it was very interesting because these people were quite vehement in their support for other causes like workers rights and other anti capitalist groups. Essentially they were very Socialist in their political affiliations. So from the outside it may look like we are besieged by many different small groups but in the end I think the effect is that we are facing what amounts to a very big group because the efforts of all these small groups complement each other.
The other problem you have is that many of these people who support these groups do not apparently have to work a real job on a day to day basis. The newspapers and magazines are full of articles about recent college graduates who are working for this non-profit organization, or mid 30's "professionals" who are working for this charity, or this political action group or non-profit or whatever. I don't know about the rest of you but I have to go to work every day. When I get home I need to fix the car, or work on the house, or help the wife with her chores, or help a friend or neighbor or whatever. I don't have the time or energy to go door to door annoying people to support the cause of the day.

I know of a person that was diagnosed with being infected with the AIDS virus. He now gets food stamps to keep healthy, free medical care provided by the state, and all of his life sustaining medicine courtesy of the state. He was receiving Social Security Disability benefits until they determined that he was able to work, but he still doesn't work, so he qualifies for welfare assistance. He may die prematurely, but with all the social service benefits, I doubt that they will let him go very easily. Multiply this by the millions of people that are infected and think of the cost to society because of their lifestyle. Oh.... I forgot to mention, that previously to being infected, he had a job with the state handing out condoms and speaking about prevention. Guess that he didn't take his own advise.

This type of stuff gets passed off the gay advocate crowd as a by product of their "oppression" by society as a whole. This may seem like a twisted way of looking at this but I can't see where the "oppression" is - I mean if you were a normal healthy male in your teens or twenties who was having sex with hundreds of women ( gay men typically have dozens if not hundreds of sex partners) - and not having to suffer the consequences ( like babies and disease), would you feel "oppressed"?? - even if society as a whole did not approve of your behavior? I don't think so. Not most of the guys I knew at that age anyway.
There is something deeper going on - the incidences of mental problems, violence, drug use, etc. indicate an underlying mental disease. In any other case of human behavior that didn't have it's huge political advocacy juggernaut this would be treated as a disease - like it used to be by the APA (American Psychological Association) before the definitions book was changed.

I just came back from lunch. In our break room, a conversation was going on how to get full disability, and still be able to have a "normal life". It wasn't that long ago since talk like that would bring a person public shame. Now it's acceptable.
This epidemic isn't limited to Gays, illegals, minority races, or any other sub-group. It is starting to effect "us". (middle America)
