Gone But Not Forgotten
Today I got to meet johnday and his wife Jan. Two of the best people you'd ever want to set down with and talk. I think Jan (or maybe John) had planned on lunch for us, but we were still too full from breakfast. So Jan brought out the veggie tray and John twisted my arm for a piece of Mud Pie....Yum Yum.

Thanks you two, and when we're in the area again, we'll stop by.

Another FF hook up. Awesome. :thumb:
I'm glad to hear it went so well. :a1:

And we hope you do too. Had a great time yakking about critters mostly. Jerry and Phylis are grade A persons themselves :a1:, and animal lovers at that!!
Stop by any time!!!:tiphat::beer::beer:

Jerry, just sent you a PM before I saw your post.:pat:

I may be heading through N. OH, through SE MI into Middle MI.

Usually WAY TOO MUCH !!!!!!! They specialize in home cooked family style meals & one local place has an all you can eat buffet where a friend of mine was actually asked to leave for eating 5 platefulls of broasted chicken !! They couldn't keep up with him ! (he isn't fat, just looks like your average NFL player !)

Last time I was in an Amish restaurant I had the best open faced roast beef w/ green beans and mashed potatoes & gravy. It was soooooo good. And the price is very reasonable. :thumb:
Logan Ohio has an Amish restaurant that went to buffet syle a few years ago. I preferred it before it switched to buffet. The food just does not taste as good for some reason. :pat:

Tom,

I just pulled it up on Mapquest. It'll be pretty ugly to make that as a side stop. It would be best to make it a direct trip (you're only 120 miles away).

Johnday,

I'll be driving right past your place. Unfortunately, I don't have an exact date yet. I would "think", I'd be passing through on a Monday morning and then a Thursday afternoon. I'm guessing 3rd week of July.

My route if you want to see if you're close is from Pittsburgh PA to Grand Rapids, MI.

Brian

Brian, If you're taking the turnpike, you can get on I75 just south of Toledo. Then when you leave my place, there is a couple ways to get to I96. The worse way is up 75 to 275 north, and that will run you right onto 96. The bad thing about that is going thru Livonia. Been there at all times of day, and the traffic is always not nice. The other way is when you leave my place, I'll show you how to get to M50. That will run you right into US23. Go north from Dundee, and you'll hit 96. That's the route I would take. It's a little quieter driving.:burp::tiphat:

Hey Jerry, did you take 75 all the way to 23, or did you go 475?:hide::burp::tiphat:

Thanks for the heads-up on roads & traffic.

Still don't know when I'm heading through there...
