Ready for Winter

I had a couple of inquiries about my 1402 Imp lately with torsion axles, so I thought I would post a photo of it again. Last winter we put on it at least a couple of hundred miles and it never let me down even once. It ran perfectly, even in the deep powder that we saw last winter. I am very happy with the ride and performance that the torsion axles have added to this machine.

This Imp was re-engined with a 2.0L Ford Pinto engine and an automatic transmission. It also has the manual gear selector for the rear end which adds more speed selection for different conditons.
I use this cat primarily for cabin access. It is about 2 miles from the parking area to our cabin. We visit the cabin nearly every weekend throughout the winter and summer.

We also have a totally restored DMC 1200. It is used for hauling supplies and some light grooming to the cabin. We discussed seriously putting a removeable cab on the back, but decided against it. I have used this cat for hired work in the area too.

We are looking forward to another winter with deep snow again!
PS-
I'm looking for another project that I would like to try. If anyone knows of an IMP 1404 that has a blown engine and or rearend and wants to sell it, let me know. I have a some great ideas for some modifications that I would like to try on it.
