This from someone who you'd think had everything to live for...

A couple of great, healthy, well adjusted kids who were tops in school with lots of friends and very popular
A real dish for a wife with a good marriage
Home paid for long ago, possibly in his twenties, I believe
Loved what he did for a living

But became very depressed toward the twilight of his years... decides to end the pain of life.

Ezekiel W. Jones Jr., 54, in Possum Hollow, Texas, passed away April 26, 2006, in Bug Tussel, Texas.

Zeke was a talented guitarist songwriter and recording artist. He was also self-employed as a luthier who built custom guitars and repaired and restored stringed instruments.

Zeke’s lifelong passion for music led him to numerous successful accomplishments. He formed the well-known group Toby Beauregard in the mid 1970s.

Jones co-wrote the hit single “My Angle Barby” which soared to the top of the charts in 1978 as the band toured the nation with groups such as the Doobie Brothers, Bob Seger and Aerosmith. Another hit song was “Into the Night” which also continues to get airplay around the world.

Additionally he composed and performed instrumental guitar music for a couple of PBS series.

Jones has kept active as a guitarist with two local groups. The Bottomline Band & Scott Randolph & the White Lightening Band.

Zeke greatly enjoyed playing for several years with the Mc First Praise Team at First United Methodist Church in Bug Tussel.

He is remembered as a caring thoughtful, generous and funny person who always made others feel their best.

We never know how our neighbor's feel inside, they may appear ok on the outside, but might be boiling to a head inside. Try to make the time you spend with friends precious.
