Question?

When did you turn into a 4 year old?

Or did your 4 year old grandkid tell you that one?

Which side of a duck has the most feathers?

It sounded like the OP had been imbibing on some orange nectar.

And the answer - a pound of anything weighs a pound. So, the same.

Actually, that is not the right answer to my question. And, since I have said that much, pure guesses will not be accepted,
even if correct; to "win" you must supply the reason for your answer! Good Luck!!

A pound of gold weighs more than a pound because gold is never 100% pure, they calculate the extra ingredients weight and put that much more gold in so that they have a true pound of gold.

Still not right. Since this has gone longer than expected if the next person doesn't get it I'll post the actual answer.

Okay, twelve hours with no attempts, so here's the answer:

It's the lead. All precious metals (silver, platinum, gold, etc.) are weighed in Troy ounces while other materials, such as
lead, are weighed in standard (Avoirdupois) ounces.
A troy pound is 12 troy ounces, and each troy ounce is 480 grains,
making a total of 5760 grains to the pound of gold. A standard pound is made up of 16 ounces, where each ounce is
437.5 grains, making a total of 7000 grains to the pound.

So, a pound of lead is heavier than a pound of gold, even though an ounce of gold is heavier than an ounce of lead.
