Quest Cats for sale on KSL.com

It looks like the bunch of cats from Quest that were to be crushed and cut in half are for sale on ksl.com. I talked to the guy who got them to buy parts when he first got them and was told he was contracully oblicated to cut them in half and crush the cabs. He would not sell me any parts at the time...I wonder how he got around that clause in the contract...

How about a link?

I looked at "snowmobiles-used" which is the usual place for snow cats and didn't see any of the Quest cats. Also searched for different spellings of "snow cat" and struck out.

That's interesting...

I wonder what the story on these is.

Remember maybe a year or two ago several went up for auction in Spokane. They had the frames cut in half and the cabs were similarly dismantled. Each was for sale (at least in the auction photos) as essentially a neat pile of parts. They went for more money than I thought they would bring in that condition, but to be fair before they were rendered unusable they were probably nice cats.

I kind'a remember something about this. I think there was a liability issue with the cats not having a ROPS after someone they employed rolled one. The 'fix' was to crush them to sever all liability, including the use of the parts.:hammer:
