I'm on the fence on this one. I do think it was a terrible mistake and not intentional. Cheney will have to live with this.

Unfortunatly, stuff happens.. Cheney was man enough to claim responsability when the conditions allowed for a dangerous situation. The guy should have never been there.. .. Either way, is a sad mistake.. Last I heard, he's doing ok, the world needs to move on..

Still, it doesnt hurt us to laugh about it

I tend to think the lawyer may not have been the sharpest tool in the box - maybe he had never been hunting in his life(?) and didn't think before he acted. And the VP needs to learn to take his time with the shotgun. Only newbies keep their finger on the trigger ALL the time.
