While I believe Putin would be defeated in WW3, I also believe that he will use nuclear weapons when pushed far enough.

I understand giving aid to Ukraine, at least at the initial phase of this dispute, but I don't understand why the UK, the US and NATO all thwarted, at various times, peace agreements between the 2 nations. Ukraine can NOT win. Zelensky is NOT our ally. Zelensky has proven himself to be a dictator, and a corrupt one at that.

 
Is this another Red Line ?.... there's been so many of them crossed there now called "Amber Lines". Russia has been invaded a month ago by another country , first time in 80 years , their response .....ignored it , surely that was a Red Line, nope . Standard Russian tactic ,The WW3 scenario who the West should be aware , but not go weak in the knees every time they flash this card .China has already warned Putin about Nucs being a no go with them .....it's bad for business.
Hey I get it , you hate the democratically elected leader of Ukraine , and Zelensky will have to call an election sooner than later , but there is a war going on . Regardless of that , if in his shoes , would anybody accept the Russian Peace deal ( which was non negotiable ) in a nutshell ,the Capitulation of Ukraine "Surrender". That deal is out there for anyone to read , and then decide as a leader of a country would they make that call . Regardless of who is Ukraine's President , the Ukrainian people don't deserve to be abandoned , their country destroyed and quite possibly cease to exist as a people / country.
 
Puttin is right to do so. Clearly, giving long range weapons is the same as using Ukraine as a proxy in our conflict with Putin. It is a chickenshit tactic in line with our current administration's mental capacity.
 
Putin isn't going to do anything . Your current administration while suppling aid has tied one arm of Ukraine behind it's back during the course of this war over the fear of escalation . Make no mistake the Ukrainians are fighting our war for us , because if this goes wrong an emboldened Russia ( and China is watching ) will come for more . When that happens it will be American / Nato troops that will bare the brunt of this.

Wrong. Putin doesn't have to "Do' much. He just has to declare war.
It activates NATO to full alert but until boots go on the ground, nothing has to happen. It just changes the conditions of the standoff.
An escalation that is one step closer to an exchange of deadly force.

Update(1450ET): Kirby came out on Friday and told reporters that there's been no change in US policy regarding Ukraine using Western arms for long-rage strikes inside Russia. But the pressure is quickly ramping up: first Canada's Trudeau said he supports greenlighting this, despite Putin making clear this would mean 'direct war' between Russia and NATO, and now UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is coming out in support. According to breaking reporting in The Wall Street Journal: ​

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer is expected to urge President Biden on Friday during a visit to Washington to sign off on allowing Ukraine to use long-range European-made cruise missiles to strike targets deep inside Russia, according to U.S. and Western officials.​
...A decision to lift a ban on Kyiv using the Storm Shadow missile, which can hit targets 155 miles away, to fire into Russia would be a major win for Ukraine, which has been urging Western countries for months to loosen restrictions on long-range weapons.​

Yes, Zelensky has been essentially begging for it, but we highly doubt a "win" will follow especially given as we detailed below Putin still holds many cards, and would likely escalate attacks on Kiev in a big way.​
