Pull tab machines

Does anyone know about odds, how these machines work, ways to cheat, payoff amounts, etc. the ones that sound like machine guns when they shoot out the tabs. I have been thinking about this for a couple of months, but I cannot say too much cause.....well I suspect some shenanigans.

Seems to me, after a couple of beers, if the fellow loading the machine can see the winners so far, it could possibly double his odds of winning if half the stack is gone, and the big one has not been won. But there is a lot more to it than that. I just watched a couple of guys buy 1000's of dollar cards. The same guys that reload and sign off the winners. But these guys aint rich.

Mak , What kind of Machine is it ? State ran or like a bar or something . Not familiar with that particular machine . But if its for an individual business , & not state controlled I do know how they work . They are illegall in Kansas since about 2001 . If it aint controlled by the state gambling or gambling devices are illegal except for the Indian casinos , but the state has their hands in on that as well . :w00t2:

It is a VFW or American Legion. I dont think anyone really controlls it unless someone reports something. I am kinda worried about bringing this up on the fourm cause it might be really big bucks.

Thats what I was thinking it was . When they had them here they were owned by the vending machine companys , same as pool tables video games & pinballs . The vendor would place the machine for free , But the owner would have to buy the roll of tabs for a set price . I cant remember the pecentages , But both would make money off of it .

The Vending company when the owner purchase the roll , at that time it was 500 bucks per roll . The ticket rolls were provided for free to the vendor & at that time even loosing tickets were worth some free phone time from the local cell phone provider , for advertisement .

The Club or buisness owner then had to split a certain percent with the vendor that placed the machine & had to pay out of pocket any cash prizes & Yes He knew exactlly how many tickets & of what value of the totall roll that had cash prizes .

Damn near bet its the same setup . So yes the Owner could keep track of if theres any bigger winning tickets & after hours could take advantage , But most I knew would not . Because if a patron got a winning ticket even for 20 or 50 bucks They would buy the house a round . Win Win for everyone but the customers . Hope that helps , :w00t2:
