PTO generators

Does anyone have one the could tell me about ?

I had a 15kw gas, electric start gen. I'm looking for options

I was just on a ranch a day or two ago that had a PTO-driven generator next to where I was working. I think it was something like 50KW, 120/240, and surprisingly small. I'll dig through my pictures and see if I got one of the make, et al. Can't get to it tonight, but maybe by morning.

Your generator stolen? Sold? Exploded?

Sears, Western Auto, and Northern Hydraulics all offered (2) PTO Generators. I believe a 20KW, and a 50KW. They work well, except that frequency regulation was dependent on how well the tractors govenor worked, or if it had one. If the load changed, so did the frequency(Hz). They show up on E-bay fairly regularly, and there may still be New Units available from W.W.Graingers.

Have an old Bush Hog version. The hertz changes with the load unless a modified governor is installed on the tractor(think it was called a PTO load adjuster). Costs were cheaper at the time than a stationery installation. Ours was a 50kw and worked good except for clocks and hertz sensitive electronics.
