Proenneke Cabin

The Old Salt
I've been watching the series for the umteemth time on PBS and the man never ceases to amaze me. He lived his life to the fullest and shared his experiences with us. Quite an individual.

Love that old series too,

The latch on the cabin door is pretty darn good workmanship. He definately had wood working skills few have today. When he sat down, the wood chips would fly!!

I think he was from Iowa as well??

Great show to watch now and then....

Regards, Kirk

I love watching it also. Everytime I do I notice one thing which I believe made his life possible and successful. He did not have a wife telling him how "she wanted it done."

So, he was able to just do it.

No offense to the ladies, and I love my wife dearly but, if I was alone the house and barn down at the ranch would be completed by now.
