whatever you think...

I got into a a class for nurse assistant starting fall.
I have it for Minnesota, (certificate, done elder-care 30 some years) but need it here. I will then maybe be able to get into LPN program.
I just need to hang on, been a long haul the last six months. Have a couple of jobs lined up hopefully that will last.
I have worked my butt off at anything and everything to keep up.
I have an offer from a family member for a bus ticket back to MN, but no damn way. jobs were tough there too, so forget it! I will work my butt off migrant work if I have to!

I am so jazzed! It was set up anonymously from someone who heard I did elder-care. Had a lady but she passed away. must have been through that somehow.
I am still so shocked! woohoo! light and the end of the tunnel!

I just want to keep my pups and place. will find out in the morning about one of the jobs.
sorry this is such a mess! combo of stress and joy co-mingling lol!

so...pray if ya would!

It won't take long to get your license, just stick with it.

Congratulations on your chosen path, one which you'll come to find you'll always love and sometimes hate:yum::flowers:

Congratulations!

A Minniesota girl too? I did not realize...

May it take you on a path of happiness and fulfillment for as long as you wish.

Regards, Kirk

When you go to LPN school and have questions just ask. I can help you out with most of them. I should have tested out back in 93 when it was still fresh in my head.

thanks thcri, 300 and baldy.

was in minneapolis, born and raised in mn.
moved to southern ohio 3yrs ago may.

thanks mm. i will do that. it will be farther down the road for lpn. cna classes start fall and last 10 weeks. I have already scoped out a few places, both nursing homes and home care places.
hopefully will be set to apply last week or two of oct.

just a little nervous about making it through til then, just got to keep at it.

one of the jobs fell through as lady is going to nursing home in a few days.

have some hours next week with some outside work so that is great.

day at a time.

thanks again folks, appreciate you all.

Just messing with ya. I'm so happy for you. It's wonderful that you have a plan and it's starting to work out for you.

Lady, you have my respect and best wishes. Keep at it. It'll all come together for you. Remember, good things happen to good people. :flowers::flowers::flowers:

Around here the training takes a couple of weeks for your STNA (we don't call them CNA's any more).
It took me a little over a year to get my LPN, but that was because I was busy raising Jeff, going to classes at Vantage, then UNOH, then finished up at the branch at OSU near here.
If you class full time it should take you almost a year to get your nursing license for LPN.
You can do it.

a couple of weeks pg? yeah, it is stna here too. At Southern hills the gal told me it was it is 10 weeks. I am going to call her back and make sure. It was three weeks when I took it eons ago in mn.
When I take the lpn will depend on the cost.
ok, just figured it out, it will be 10 weeks.
The great thing is I was told that with my years of experience already working in the field they would hire right away.
What I want more than anything once I get lpn, is to work pediatrics. Would take anything of course, but kids, that is where i want to be.
And if I could pull it off, get my social work degree as well.
was all set to be child advocate volunteer and then the dumb ass car went on me.
once I get the na done and start working, I am hoping to get a new car. well, new used anyhow!
ok, babbling here sorry! Half typing and half listening to the thunderstorm!

Easttexfrank, thanks, you're a dear!
what if...lol!

oh mm, I will absolutely throw out questions here!

I know I am new 'round these parts, but I'm getting to love the crap
outta you all!
