For some reason the tbn owners ,and staff see fit to delete any reference to this site ,and some( a lot )of their previous frequent posters that are now on this site .
ANDY M made a post a few hours ago , and I responded (tbn message #823467 ) on one of the TBN forums(news/feedback ) . I'm willing to bet that it will be deleted .
My question is why ? Other than their vanity, I see no direct threat from this site .
 
Yes and this site only. The boat thread for example. They deleted a guy by the name natural, bonehead's and mine. But they left the other two sites alone and still there.

Seems to be some sort of heavy handed policy of censorship against Junkman and others here. To me it is simply silly. Bird claims it is because they choose to delete any reference to any site that is not "family friendly" but we all know that is nothing more than bullcrap.

Bird is the only moderator over there that I have no respect for, I know others have problems with other moderators, but I really see Bird and a total tool who has no sense of logical consistency and is very uneven in his moderation. He's an old cop who would rather thump somebody with a stick than think things through. If he really thinks people would believe that they delete links to sites that are NOT 'family friendly' then why would he/TBN allow links to some of the WELDING forums? The language used on those forums is far worse than is used in our "jokes" forum! And the nasty arguements on those forums make our "debate & discussion" forum look like a gentle kiddie ride at Disneyland.
 
Yes, I have to agree. I never had any issues with other mods there, only Bird. It seems that since I didn't blow smoke up the old fart's ass and praise him as a god, he didn't like me. Oh well, I never was good at being a brown noser. If Bird was half as wise as he thinks he is, he wouldn't have the need to have others blow smoke up his ass. What's with the most prolific poster (and worst moderator) on a tractor site not even being a tractor owner?! :yum:

Bird is definitely an issue. His post never carry any true tractor knowledge or substance and he seems obsessed with old war stories, this is the 21st century. He is good for a chuckle though. :) but thats all!
 
I think most of the moderators over there have deleted a post or two that I made and I honestly only had problems with one of those, and it was with a moderator who I still consider a friend. I beleive he totally misread my post, he then debated me in the thread and deleted me too. I think he was dead wrong. I still do. But we traded PMs about it and I expressed my feelings and that was that. I hold no ill feelings toward him and would love to sit for a cup of coffee. There are other moderators over there that I still consider friends even if I don't post as often and don't trade too many PMs anymore. And guys like MikePA, who many have complained about, has always been fair to me, and I've never had a problem with him. Heck I've enjoyed some great discourse with him.

But Bird is one, who I simply do not understand. I never did understand him.

He has a bazillion posts over there and most are plain vanilla, offer no real help at all, but he thinks he is some sort of guru to the masses? His words are gospel over there? Heck I'm surprised he is tolerated. Then again, I think most people see right through him. So maybe he is tolerated by the members because they see him as a comedic rube.

You obviously have a much better level of patience than me. After about the third post I made (and spent considerable time constructing) got axed I gave up, even after discussing with MikePA. Just because it may have been in a troll originated thread doesn't negate the input. When a post contains content it should never be deleted and thats were I think the mods at TBN fail miserably. They have the ability to structure the thread for value and they just choose not to put in the effort and just do general deleting! I show up on TBN about once a week and from not being there everyday I see the repetition and recycling. Quite frankly, they're insistance on a primary subject with very little variance or tolerance makes it boring. Sorry I didn't see it sooner and having post deleted that had no objectionable content really chaps my azz!

I visit Kioti - Owning/Operating once a week now and I search the forum when I have a related issue! If people would search for related threads instead of just posting on a whim there would be much less clutter (material already discussed) to scan through. Because of this, "New Post" use to be a must but it just takes too much time now. How many times have you read "I know this has been discussed before somewhere". Encouraging new members to search before posting would make the forum SO much more efficient. I think the number of members warrants this education or "stressing". Then there is the post deletion issue in your "Must Reads". I'm not gonna spend time on something that is subject to mass deletion or because it got caught up in a questionable thread even if it had substance with no objectionable material. Moderators have the ability to restructure the thread and material contributed that has clout. Your must read thread "post" and time spent may be gone with no explanation. My "Must Read" threads is down to one because of it. I hope the administration is open to the critque and I still think TBN is a GREAT resource!

Why do you think the posts keep disappearing???? It is because they come to this site to read what we are posting and they just go back over there and do the axing. I never refer to the other site by name, because that makes it too easy for them to do a word search and find what we are talking about. Just remember....... "Loose lips sink ships" .
As for the old crow, I have no respect for him because of his attitude and his skill of censoring people just because he doesn't agree with them. I am certain that the reason that he is still a mod er a tor is that his services come free. You get what you pay for... :moon:

Funny, It's back.... When I checked earlier, I was sure to look at that particular post.. The whole thread was blocked out, but its back now still has Nixon's post too... Dunno..

That means one moderator thought it needed deleted and put it on "hold" until he could discuss it with the others. They decided to leave it for now I guess.

I wonder if they decided the mispelling or lack of direct link "rendered it harmless" or if they have realized that they're only antagonizing the issue by deleting such references?

Speaking of which, Bonehead and the rest who have had posts deleted for FF links recently: did you ever get an explaination or at least a nasty-gram or something?

Quite disappointing.:( If they couldn't give you reasons, at least they could have given you a "trip to the woodshed" to entertain all of us.:D

Last I was over there, the thread prompting this one had many of the latest posts deleted, but somehow they don't have a problem with, or continue to ignore, Nixon's post.

Whatever floats their boat, I guess!:confused:
 
I've had a few deleted also. But I am still there so far. It was fun when Junk and a few others would get a bit on the wild side and have some real fun. It added a lot of enjoyment to the place and a good laugh.
