That would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Forget about the other chain restaurants - what about the grocery store?

Good customer relations would have been to pass out rain checks for the sale and have a "get well date" posted. Additionally, a "whipping boy" should have been available at each franchise for the customers to vent to.

Better retailers would have signs up honoring Popeyes prices in other branded franchises, stealing Popeye's customers. Many will remain customers because they were helped instead of being turned away from a closed resturaunt by a recording, indicating the franchise holder (and by extension the parent company) doesn't care.

It's impossible to realize the damage something like this can cause unless you've been through it.

Alonzo Tubbs, who has definatly been through it

I loved that big well dressed black woman in the fancy SUV who pulled up and was complaining and saying she was trying to feed her children. WTF? Obviously she can afford to get food, maybe she forgot how to cook?

I'm guessing she don't know how to cook. Or cook much.

In my family, I can cook very well. My sister is a decent cook. My brother though...

Doing this Boy Scout stuff, I have been amazed at how little a lot of kids know about cooking. And dishes, kids do not know how to do dishes by hand these days. Anything more than luke warm, and they think the water is scalding them.

I'm guessing that lady, and a couple of others, mostly eat out or nuke their pre made meals.

Now me, I have chicken defrosting for the grill. There is baby red potatoes, carrots, and squash in the fridge. There is some fresh asparagus and bok choy in the garden. We have artichokes too; probably pick in a week. Some marinated, grilled chicken, oven roasted veggies...Yum:clap:

Um.....not to be racist or anything. But did anyone notice that not one white person was shown in the video other than the reporter.

Hey people, here's a thought! Get ya'll butts back home in front of the stove and cook yerselves a good nutritious meal for a change and quit relying on the fast food joints to provide you with supper 7 days a week.

Ya think I miss stuff like that Brian? :yum:
Fo sho, a cast iron skillet chock full of breaded wings, legs and breasts with some blackeyed peas on the side, some greens, cornbread etc would have been the ticket.:hide:
All joking aside.. I think the video has set THAT R word back years.
What the hell were they thinking anyway when this video was made?
Oh wait.. we have a brutha in the house now.. so anything can be joked about now and is considered fair ground without looking R.
When Dawg first posted this I was dying to say this, but I didn't.
I have now, so sue me.

I did and was going to post but then got kicked off the internet. But hey I think it is more of a company that puts out this big ad and then doesn't perform. You know like Bbuy has a big special on a monitor and you run down to get one and they are out 5 minutes into the special.

That's one take and to act like it's the only place to eat or say I can't feed my kids because they ran out of chicken has nothing to do with race. The chances of finding white folk in a Popeye's is very low and there is no easy way to say it without coming out or perceived as racist.

Two things happened ............ the franchise owners blew it with the special by not preparing, all at the expense of the company.

Customers acted like it was the next apocalypse, proving some of the problems we have today.

BTW ....... I love the red beans at Popeye's. When I lived in LA I had one 5 blocks away. I've ate my share of their chicken, RBR, and biscuits. Wish we had one near me now!

Love that chicken from Popeyes!...

Maybe they should have went to taco bell and ordered from the value menu.
