Tarriffs are good and in my opinion are different from 'corperate welfare'. American companies should be protected from global unfair (Chinese, Korean, other 3rd world dumpers) practices.

(even though I voted wrong in this poll. oops)

Tariffs are bad and serve to do nothing but raise prices to American consumers and protect businesses who are too lazy or cheap to innovate.

On the other hand, I believe in fairness -- If I can't sell a product in your country, you shouldn't be able to sell a product in mine.

So, I voted "Maybe", by which I meant, "It depends".

This was the one maybe I voted in this section. As noted already, I'm all for business survival of the fittest, but can't see fair trade if the other side isn't playing fair.

Maybe taking this down a road not intended in the question, but I'm also convinced manufacturing is a national security issue: Rosie the Riveter isn't much good if you've sent all the rivet guns over-seas.
