Pictures of 1972 Tucker

If I've figured out how to post pics, here are two of my 1972 Tucker 543A. I have not been able to find out what type of tracks have been retrofitted, or who did it. Anyone know?

Also, since these pics, I have shortened the groomer so that it only knocks down the center hump.

Could we please get some close up pics of the track conversion (more is always better). Thanks in advance Mike

Are those custom tracks on your Tucker? Or is it some sort of aftermarket conversion kit?

I've not seen that track design on a Tucker before, I was expecting to see either steel tracks on pontoons or a belted track with a series of small bogie wheels along the bottom. You appear to have something that looks more like a Thiokol/DMC/LMC type with the a drive sprocket in the traditional Tucker location.

Can you give us any insight? Any manufacturer stamps on any of the parts?

As requested, here are some snaps of the tracks on the Tucker. I'm trying to find out the history and who, if anyone, would have the molds for the drive sprokets. FallLine did not have them.

I'm not sure what you mean by cleats. Let me know and I will get the number(s). Are you in the business of snowcat restoration?

Thanks. I measured the distance between the tips of 8 grousers on all four tracks, and averaged them. I was surprised at the divergence, as the range was 3 7/8 to 4 3/8, and the spacing where the belting is linked is near 4 1/2. But the average is just a hair over 4 inches. I hope this helps figure out the pitch, and therefore whether you have a mold for the drive sproket.
