OK guys (and gals), I hate to ask...

Anyone know of a good way to remove pee stains from siding, brick, block?

A friend of mine has siding where cats took a leak on it and it stained and hasn't come off.

Don't ask why I want to know about brick/block

What type of siding is it that the cats pissed on? As for the brick I would reccommend Bleach sprayed on in with a weed sprayer and then rinse then use TSP or similar product to clean it off. It also depends on how old the stain is whether it will come off.

bczoom, aww come on I think you are usuing that cats as an excuse. Sounds more like a man who is to lazy to go inside to use the bathroom!

Vinyl siding.

I'll try the bleach/TSP. My stain (brick/block) has been accumulating for a couple years. Think it'll still work?

WW,

Au contraire!!! I have no vinyl siding so the cats and their stains aren't mine (I hate cats).

Yep, I'm in the "too lazy" category. Heck, I'll actually walk past the bathroom at times "just to get some fresh air". As noted above, my issue is on the brick.

Brick being porous will be more difficult, however, if you spray it with chlorine bleach, it will react with the ammonia in the urine and cause a chemical reaction that might be detrimental to the brick. I don't know what neutralizes urine, however there are some commercial products sold in pet shops that should work. The two that come to mine immediately are Natures Miracle and Skunk Kleen. Both work well at removing unwanted odors by changing the chemical properties of the urine. Soak the brick and allow it to dry. Don't wash it off. Multiple treatments might be necessary. I know that the Natures Miracle worked on a cement garage floor. Junk.....

But men don't have to go inside. It has nothing to do with being lazy. If you can do it outside why waste time going inside??:D

Brian; We use a product called Liquid Enzymes, by Betco, that we buy at a local commercial cleaning supply warehouse. It does an excellent job on carpets, interior walls, and floors. It's even suggested for use in disinfecting restrooms. I know it wouldn't hurt the masonry, but not sure about the vinyl siding. :tiphat:

WW, being able to widdlewaddle off the front porch, is just one of the benefits of living in the boonies. What the crap, give it a shot. Ya might never use the bathroom again!:D:tiphat:
