ParaGlider dies after crash at Kaena Point

Tragic news. A para-glider died after a crash. What makes this more tragic, and it is not included in this story, is that this guy's wife died almost exactly 1 year ago, also in a para-glider accident.

A man who was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after he crashed while paragliding at Kaena Point has died.

The man, believed to be 30 years old, fell about 50 feet. EMS says he was awake when bystanders got to him. However, he became unresponsive and CPR was initiated.

The man was initially hospitalized in critical condition.
 
Life on the edge is not where I would ever choose to be. If God meant for me to have wings, he would have made them stock equipment, not an aftermarket add-on. Too bad for this fellow. It's a huge hobby, but not without its hazards.
