We have available for rent a small “furnished” 2 person 10’ x 16‘ cabin on our property in Bastimentos Island Panama for short or long term rental . It is solar powered with a ¾ bath and kitchen area .It has a gas refrigerator/freezer and a cook top .
It also has a new 10’ x 16’ covered deck for outside relaxing in the Hammocks or dining at the patio table .This deck is currently under construction and will be completed in late March .
This cabin is very similar to a cabin on board a ship in layout design. It has single bunk beds . There are no laundry facilities “on site” , though you can probably contract with the Indian Gardener's wife to do it by hand at a very reasonable cost .
The cabin lays on the protected side of the island across from Hospital Point . The cabin overlooks an area reserved for a Sloth family that are year around residents . There is a private dock area and a private swim platform in our private Lagoon , for your enjoyment or docking of your boat . There is also a diving reef across the front to explore . Bocas town is approximately 2 miles by water .Water Taxis are available to Bocas town . This is a very private area and you will have seclusion . It has a full time gardener/caretaker on site . There are the Famous Bastimentos RED FROGS on the property as well as Blue and Yellow ones . There are nature trails throughout the 12 acre estate for exploring . Coconuts , bananas and Mangos are free for the taking during harvest season . Old Bank Bastimentos town is 3/4 mile on the main trail .There are NO cars on this island . We have snorkel/mask for your use . The World Class surfing area is 1 mile by boat .
If you are an explorer /adventurer type who loves privacy , this cabin is for you .
Prices are as follows :
3 day Package is $200 and this includes your propane use .
1 week (7days) package is $ 400 and this also includes your propane use .
1 month (30days) package is $800 / propane included .
A Private cell phone is available for your use with a $100 refundable security deposit . You will need to pick up a Minute Card in Bocastown to activate . The cards run from $5 to $20 depending on how many minutes you require .
To save you the hassle in arriving and going to the grocery store , Food / Drinks can be purchased and provided to stock the cabin , if we have advance notice of what you require .This will be an extra charge .
A refundable security deposit of $200 is required and will be cheerfully refunded as long as no damage is incurred to the cabin or items taken .
We can also help with arrangements of transport and hotel accommodations /sightseeing/private canal tours in Panama City as you fly into Panama . Provided at no charge to our guest .
