Hey guys,
So on the last project that I worked on, I bought my paint from TCP global. It was 2 stage base plus clear coat. I am working on a kitten and would prefer a good quality single paint. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also what do you like to use for a primer?

I have painted with single stage PPG, Concept for more years than I will ever admit too, great product, sadly, no longer available as of the first of the year, so, I am now using, Glasurit single stage, great paint also, quality paints will give you the best results and most importantly, long life. basically, do it once.

single stage products are far easier to touch up and or make repairs to damaged areas.

TA is correct, factory did not use primer and just a cheap enamel.

probably the most important part of paint is the PREP work. just about any paint will work over a great prep work and look good for what we do with these old things

I'll be painting my Imp later this summer, full paint removal of three layers from previous owners since its life began in '77. Plan to use an epoxy primer followed by single stage urethane. No clear coat, won't be a show queen but should survive probably longer than I will.
