It has kind of an official look to it. The guy said it was a barn find twenty-five years ago. It seemed like he said the engine was started a couple years ago. It was tough to get good info. It belongs to his boss.

Looks over priced but also looks like a fun project with great potential.

It does appear that the table is toast. But it would be a good negotiating tool to get the pricing where it should be. Wonder how the tracks & pontoons really are. Kind of weird not to post a pic of them as well?

-This looks to be a 343 :shifty:(wish they had taken a picture of the ID tag- curious what this is stamped as since it doesn't have a back door) with a rear fuel tank. Should be just like Tye One On's rig.- It may be the size of the side window, but the body sure does look short. So, important to make sure pontoons & tracks are good. AND, does the three series use the same turntables as a 4 series? Princess??

-Second observation is the ad for the 4500-A 'Wide Stance' tucker. Did anyone ever buy one of these, or did they just go for the wider footprint of the 5 series?

it is a factory built 343, and it is correct looking as much as i can tell from the photos, they are a much smaller machine than a 400, very narrow body, no body panels interchange with a 400, only thing they share in common is the running gear, though, some had 4 cylinder jeep motors, and there is one out west that runs a 283 chev V-8, most came with the dodge 6 in them, first year of the 300 machines was 1963, fairly popular machine as number of them built.

The 300 series uses the same turntables as the 400 series, but the pontoons are different. The 300 is 18x76 and the 400 is 18x84.
I noticed a set of hydraulic valves under the dash..... Must have been for grooming.
This machine most likely has a flat 6 Chrysler with a 3 speed transmission.
Thanks for posting AdkSnowcat!

you are right, but it is a Tucker, and in their wisdom not to create further confusion between a flat deck ( 342 ) and sedan ( 343 ) otherwise, they both would be 342's, then what would happen

do not think they did any better in the sno than the 400's, pontoons were smaller footprint which kept the pounds per square inch just about the same as a 400, and these machines all seem to move at the same speed on the sno, be it a freighter with the 331 hemi or a 423, with the dodge 6 cylinder,

except for the torpedo's, rocket ships

the real down side to a 300 machine, so small inside, like clown car small

The Tucker has gone to a good home in New Hampshire. It is with 5 other Tuckers and is close to logga's Tuckers. The front turn table is not broken, a flat tire made it look like it was. It is in pretty good shape.

Yup. It seems that Tuckers like to be around other Tuckers, nobody can have just one."

I already have an addiction to sleddogs - I can't afford another addiction, although I can see where it would be easy to lose control - lol

Now that's funny,:yum:especially coming from you.

whaaaaat is so funny about wanting only one Tucker, ask anybody, they will tell you, that i have said I only wanted one Tucker, and then some will say, one more Tucker is whaaaaat I said,

Merry Christmas to all
