Old Bombardier Trucks (truck built on Muskeg chassis?)

Who can shed some light on these old trucks?

There is a graveyard of them up in Alberta :flagcan: and one of our members is looking at doing a restoration.

Anyone have any real history on these things?

Photos include one restore unit and then a bunch from the graveyard where they can be picked up for little more than pocket change, but will require a good deal of work and cash beyond the purchase price!

Same discussion on northerntracks.com about these units. Pretty interesting front clip on these old Bombardiers, I don't see any Muskeg lineage, but some close up pics of the hull (truck frame)might shed some light on this theory. I'm not fussy about ski's ,but that restored machine is very nice !

Well if not on a muskeg chassis do you think it was built on a "B12" or "C18" chassis?

Bob if you look again at the site where you got those pics from, you'll see 1 or 2 pics of the muskeg frames. Also there is a pic with some specs about the machines. I would post them, but I don't know how.
OT.

Thanks for the pics oldtrucker, looks like they have dual tires with the outer axle braced up to the deck, alot like a muskeg. The fine print at the bottom says Differential: one ton dodge full floating axles. looks like a little mix of old bombardier and penguin (muskeg) Pretty interesting machines !
