newbie lurker gets a toy

Hello all--
As of today, I will no longer be merely lurking on this board and drooling over others' snowcats. I made a little purchase--from a neighbor, no less--and am pleased. Thanks to mtntopper (Bill) for his help & advice. And to everyone else. I've learned lots here so far.

This is the same machine that was advertised on here earlier. I got a fair deal and look forward to getting back to our cabin year-round now. This thing will haul way more beer than any snowmachine.

Let the mods begin. I need to install a beacon and get the gas gauge working. And maybe install some seatbelts on those VW bucket seats so the kids don't fall out when the doors fly open! I look forward to learning more from this group.

Welcome and great first post!

Just make sure that as you begin the mods you keep the camera handy and document your progress.

Nice to have you as a member.

Hi timbo, welcome to FF and snow cat ownership. It is always nice to see another snow cat join or at least stay in the neighborhood. I believe we have about 10+ snow cat owners in the neighborhood now using the Hazelton road as a base. Some even have multiple cats. We also have a dozen plus of smaller over snow vehicles such as Argo's, tracked 4X4 vehicles, tracked UTV's and other assorted over snow vehicles. You did very well on this snow cat and she will serve you well for cabin access.

As to your gas tank fuel gauge problem, check carefully the ground on the in tank gauge as they corrode easily and that maybe your only problem. Clean the ground and see if that solves the problem.......bill

Welcome Tim--great to have another neighbor with a cat. You soon will notice the addiction. The Forum is a great resource and you will find that there is a wealth of snow cat knowledge and experience right around the Big Horns.:clap::clap:
