Well it looks like a great place to spend alittle time. :tiphat: I am in to snow grooming big time and love it.
You know me as "melensdad" over on Koz's Snow Grooming website. I don't groom but that was the best resource I could find for general snowcat discussions. Pixie, mtntopper and a few other folks from Koz's site post here too. You will find that the snowcat area here gets more traffic than any other snowcat website on the internet.

This site is a little different, most of the folks in the snow cat area own their own equipment (probably 95+%).

We have at least 40 owners of Aktiv Snow Trac & Snow Masters. Probably a half dozen to a dozen Kristi folks. And a nice group of people who own Thiokol/LMC/DMC equipment. There is the odd guy with a VMC too:eek: Most of us are not groomers, but I know a few folks do grooming. Most of us bought, restored, and use our equipment for fun, transport, business or recreation. You'll also find we are an international group of owners, we've got members here from all over Europe, the UK, and North America.

If you are into restoration, and if you like to make fun of people, then take a look at BigAl's amazing KT7 restoration. It is the only KT7 known to exist of 4 that were produced. It is a long thread, but a good one. See it HERE.

Another great restoration is from Arlow up in British Columbia, he made up an amazing Snow Trac, beefed up the engine and drive for greater speed and tricked out the interior. Bob & Dawn Lowe's Snow Trac

Gordon in NY did a professional grade restoration to bring his Snow Trac back to showroom condition. Gordon's Snow Trac

There are a lot more areas on the Forums to keep you interested, politics, tractors, food, and guns will occupy some of your time if you dig around the forums beyond the Snow Cat areas.

Welcome aboard Dale, I am sure your expertise will come to play here also. We do not groom much but sometimes we do flatten out and verbally run over each other.:yum:

Hey Bogus Bob, I still have my LMC 1200 so don't get too carried away with my VMC experiment. BigAl and I are not odd but very unique, follow a less traveled path, and are not overly influenced by the masses.....

Ohhh OK mtnflopper, you're one of those guys who 'experiments' by switching. :smileywac You and BigAl sure do make a nice pair!

Let me make this very clear. I like girls!:5boobs: :boobies: :poto:

Besides, I know you are just jealous of the Snow Tracs (and my Hawaiian shirts too). :tiphat:

Specifically to GROOMING SNOW: If you can't tell by now, learn fast, we anything but gentle here

Dave....... please don't start off by trying to impress people by saying what you think. We all know that you can't think, and when ever you try, that it just gets you in trouble......:yum: :yum: :yum:

My only question to our new member is how he manages his time. If he spends 45% of it in New England, and 88% in Wisconsin, how does he come up with a 33% increase in the number of hours in a day???? I would like to learn this trick, because 24 hours to a day are just not enough for all the things tht I want to do........I can use an extra 8 hours a day....:D
Welcome aboard.... Junk...

Not only that, his profile says he has 7 posts, but I can only find one? Must be some sort of warp?

Man thats great to know !!! My Mama always told me that each morning as I got on the short bus for school . Sometimes I rode my bike and I can still remember the day, dad pulled those damn training wheels off my Bike . I think i was a junior in college . What a great day . I am unique!

So come on ???? What brand do you run ?

Watch those Snow Trac guys . They lie like dogs . Me and Mtntopper are ok , but sometimes Mntopper starts eating axle grease out of his grease gun and gets a little funny in the head . Pretty harmless ,for the most part .He Poops alot .

So Welcome to the group !!!

Dale, I forgot to forewarn you once in a "lot of whiles" ole BigUgly starts the day off with some kind of drink of Dr. Pepper and ??????. Looks like it will be another Dr. Pepper day at Al's house again today!!!!! Just watch out for that Dr. Pepper yellow snow behind Al's snow cat.....If you are ever behind him, most likely not as that is gonna be Mouse Ears Mikes spot at the great snow cat showdown....

Gosh, this must be my day to make new friends!!!!:yum:

How far are you away from Menomonie? I have friends there who have a buffalo herd.

Wisconsin. I get up there to visit him frequently. Lots of good places for fish and beer in that area! I'm guessing he is west of you?

Wisconsin, the city. He owns a business similar to mine. So I'm guessing he would be 200 west of you? I drive up there to visit, but some others fly into the Twin Cities and drive over from there. I think its about 90 minutes from the Twin Cities. So I'm guessing you are a lot closer to Green Bay. Are you north of GB?

It sounds like he is east of the twin cities about 75 miles on hyw 29 in Dunn county & yes they have some great hunting & fishing it's kinda hilly over there alot of rivers , crazy because if you would go all the way east we have Menomonie mich, and Marinette Wis, and we call them the twin cities
