new snow in WA the end of March!

We woke up Sunday morning to SNOW in our yard! It's almost April and we had SNOW in Washington - craziness! That morning, Brian and I met up with another couple with an Imp from our area and went up in the mountains just south of our house. Beautiful day, diamond dust snow........ we had some snowmobiler's follow us so they wouldn't get stuck! LOTS of powder. We decided the 4T10 was the SUV and the Imp was the mini-truck :) It did pretty well pushing snow for sure though - and could get in tighter places than the 4T.... We did some really steep climbing with the 4T, I was pretty impressed, even a bit scared at some parts when we had to do some side-hilling! I got out at one point and walked a couple hundred yards (that was a mistake! Sunk to my thighs every step walking uphill!) Everything worked great though - long day and nothing went wrong with either cat - I'd say overall a successful trip! Made new friends and got lots of fresh air and even some exercise! I did get some 8mm footage, but no digital footage, just a couple pics. Here is one when we got to the top:

They got their cat from Snowtrans I guess (same place we got the Bombi diff for the 4T)

We got snow yesterday in northern Indiana. Unfortunately we only got about 1" and it melted today as temps climbed into the upper 40's. Our winter is officially over. We are now in MUD season.

ya, our snow didn't last the day - we have been in MUD season for a while now! ICK. Our yard is covered in river silt from many many floods - and when it rains, it's slicker than snot even with grass covering it. I hate the rainy season :P

Looks like fun. My snowcat season is over for this year. We still have snow but it's melting fast. Another few weeks and it'll be gone.

That is very cool!
we got some here, but it was more of ice crap and the snow wasn't very good. just enough for all the soccer moms to need to relearn how to drive on slick roads.

Two weeks ago it was short-sleeve shirt weather. Last week we got a big storm and the snowmobiling was the best of the year; an honest three feet of fresh "bottomless" Utah powder.

This is undoubtedly heresy on a snow cat forum, but I'm ready for spring.
