Not much snow but the ground is frozen better than last year !

Did you tow the camp with the J5 or something else ?

Happy New Year to you !

Hi Pixie
We used the tractor with a little J5 winching to help get up the hill ! It snowed a couple of inches today, more of the same to come over the weekend, I think were in business . HAPPY NEW YEAR !

Can the J5 handle that drag full of wood? That camp looks comfy for when you are out working and need a break.

 A ditch we have to cross while hauling logs refuses to freeze up in this weather. The scrap fenders from my muskeg were welded onto some I beam stringers and we now have ourselves a genuine "Bombardier Bridge" !

Very cool bridge !!!

I need to build a bridge soon. I want to use an old trailer that was made out of front end alignment ramps

OK... tell me the secret .... how do you get logs that big on the trailer ? I don't see a lifting arm on the trailer ... ?

Hi Pixie
Answer to your question, loader on the skidway and gravity when I get them home-I'll stack them later. What's the heaviest you have loaded with your log clam ?
J5 Bombardier

J5, About 1500 pounds is the heaviest. I think they are supposed to pick up about 2000 but I've never pushed it. There have been a couple that I could only pick up one end at a time

The logs you have loaded in that picture look like they probably each weigh at least 1500 !!

Cutting firewood [outside furnace to feed] and logging when the lumber supply runs low is strictly for personal use. Good chance to put the Bombardier to work and have fun on the weekends.

Could post some pics. of the log trailer? I would really like something like that track system you have on mine. I use skids now,but would love to put tracks on it.

Rollers on top are for the few times I had to winch forward[got off the road with a heavy load]. I'll look for a few trailer pics.
