XCMG Machinery: XCMG has launched the EHSL552F, a new hydrogen-powered dump truck, which significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions. This truck features a 120kW hydrogen fuel cell and a high-power battery system, designed for large-scale transportation projects like mining operations. The vehicle integrates advanced technology for enhanced performance, including a fast 6-speed gearbox, substantial chassis clearance, and optimized weight reduction, all contributing to improved efficiency and reduced maintenance costs

The problem with hydrogen is the amount of fossil fuels or electricity required to make the hydrogen.
Also that it still has to be transported the same as the current fuels we are used to.

Biggest problem I see is the lack of infrastructure.

Honestly the easiest, cheapest and fasted to deploy would be compressed Natural Gas or LNG

The nation is interlaced with NG pipelines, both long distance supply lines and local delivery lines. In many areas of the country virtually every building has NG available so building out NG "service stations" would likely be easier and cheaper to do than building out an electric super-charger network.

Hydrogen, it is available in SOME cities in SOME nations. Here in the USA, very limited to a couple localities. But clearly, Hydrogen would be very clean.
