I'm new to the snow cat world and would like to get into it. I would like to get a good compact size cat 2 to 4 person cat. I'm planning on going to high mountain lakes to do winter fishing and access a cabin I have. I would lime to know models that would be good to look for and would like something that could handle a decent amount of powder all information would help thanks.

the snow trac's are lightest on their feet and only about 2400 pounds thiokol imps are also light thebombies and and sw machines go up grom there of course with the exception of some rare imps none are amphibious

condition is every thing any where from 1 k in rough shape to 15 k fully restored there are others out there i just listed the light easy to tow models these would to just fine behind a mid sized suv with the proper hitch top a one tone truck uth a load carrying hitch most 1/2 tone trucks will tow these rigs just fine the snow trac will be about the cheapest to operate with the little vw engine they use about 1 to 1.5 gallons per hour

I like the way the thiokol imp's look and how they are set up.what is the maintnance on these things considering I will only use it in the winter time. I have the mechanical skills considering I work at a rock plant and have worked on a lot of equipment from loaders dozers etc. Thanks for the info guys it all helps.
