Hi looking for a drive housing (axle tube) for a 1979 Bombi. Plannord Equipment in Quebec indicated these are obsolete. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even We do not know of any of those and we have thousands of Bombardier parts in stock new and used. you are best to have one made. Is just the end bad? take it to a machine shop they can make you a new end and weld it in.
if you can not find one send it to us and we can do it for you.:thumb:

Yes it is the threaded end. Removing the bearing retaining nut picked up some threads and damaged the last half. If I can't repair the threads I will have to get the end welded in. Thanks again for the advice much appreciated. Also are there any torque specs for reinstalling the bearings with the retaining ring or what is the proper procedure?

Boggie, make a few!! There will be a need. It does not seem like a tough part to make.

I think we will as soon as we get caught up a bit. We have four new units we are modifying for core drills and then some company decided to fall through the ice with their machine the other day so we were off on recovery and then its drip and drain time. Then we are working on a new track design to fit the ASV Scouts for snow travel and rear cab so they will haul 6 people. then of course we have 8-10 machines ready for rebuild........ but if someone is broke down we make time.:thumb:
