need a radio for a 2010 RTV1100

I just bought a 2010 Kuboda RTV1100 and can't justify their price for the radio. What model will install in this machine with minimum problems? I know it is a Panisonic HD, but I don't know the model.
 
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your RTV!!

I believe most standard sized (DIM) stereos will fit. The plug may need a bit of changing but there's a thread either here or in the RTV Forum at www.compacttractorreview.com

I only have a minute right now so I can't do the search but search for RTV stereo plug or similar. At this and the other forum, a member who has changed the plug will chime in as well.

I would recommend you get a marine grade. They can take the abuse and elements better than a car stereo.
 
I just put in a regular Kenwood player that plays both CD's and MP3's on CD's. Installation is extremely simple. All wires are clearly marked. I wasted almost 2 weeks trying to find the plug adapter only to find out that Kubota made the radio plug proprietary to their own radios. Once I cut the plug off and threw it away, I was able to complete the entire installation in far less than 1/2 an hour. The factory speakers in the ceiling are 'okay'. You won't confuse them with a high quality set of speakers, but they serve their purpose well enough for me.
 
Thanks for the responses....... they are delivering it today and I was just trying to get ahead to see what would work. I guess I'll wait and see what the opening looks like before proceeding. Thanks again!
 
Wow, that was a lot of worry over nothing. I just ordered a Jensen off of eBay. Should just slip right in. I'm not too worried about the speaker quality...... I can't hear very well anyhow. :whistling:
 
Congrats on your new RTV. Sounds like Santa came early to your house too. Somehow I'm missing out on these early Santa visits. :pat: I must've been a bad boy this year. :hide: :yum:
