Mom is home in hospice care. She hasn't been home from the hospital for more than a week in the last 3 months. No more hospitals, no more blood transfusions, no more platelets, and no more meaningful antibiotics. She hasn't had a immune system in over a month and almost continual transfusions, platelets, and antibiotics for a month. The leukemia cells are instantly killing what good they were pumping into her. She's home where she wants to be.

I thank God my brother made it in! I sit by her side and wait ..............

Its good that your Mom is home Dawg. Thoughts and prayers for a peacefull exit for your Mom as well as for your family. Celebrate the good memorys while you can . :flowers:

I am right in the same place with my mother....Hang in there for her. It's all we can really do, and it is not enough. Cherish the times we have left with them. Let them know how much we love them.

Keep her as comfortable as possible till the good lord takes her home.

Best Regards, kirk

Sorry to hear about that BD and 300. My father passed away from leukemia a few years ago. He denied pain to any extent right up till the end. Thoughts and prayers.

I feel for you we went through the same thing with my dad before he passed.

He was in a downward spiral and He said enough is enough keep me pain free!
My sister coulden't accept that he didn't want to live on the machines (my mom was on a feeding tube for 2 years till she passed) and he said he wasn't going to go through all that.
I say I hope when my time is up I have the wear with all to do as my dad did!

Lost our Dad to leukemia back in '94, so I know what you are going through. It's good your brother got home. Thoughts and prayers your way.

BD and 300, my thoughts and prayers are with you both and your families. I don't know what you are going through, but I watched my father go through it with his mom. I just couldn't imagine.

I hope it all goes smoothly and peacefully BD. This is not an easy thing for anyone to experience.

Prayers for you and your family.

Thoughts and prayers for my favorite Dawg and his family, as well as for 300.
I know it's tough but hang in there guys.

I know what you are going through, I lost my mom to cancer a year-and-a-half ago. Hospice was wonderful in caring for her and helping us cope as well.

My thoughts are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this hard time.

Dog, there will come a day, an hour, hopefully soon that you will see the peace finally wash over her face. Blessed peace.

All the best to you and your family.

My thoughts are with you also. I've been there with both my grandparents in the past 3 years. Be strong and know she won't be suffering anymore.

Mom passed at approximately 8:30PM surrounded by all the family. Thanks so much for the prayers for a peaceful departure.

I'm not good at this stuff Greg. Having lost my mom under similar circumstances I know where you are. I honestly wept tears for your Mom.

I'm still not good at this so I'll not say more. RIP Mom Big Dog.

Greg, my heart is on fire with compassion for you right now.
She'll always be with you in very special ways.
She was one helluva Mother and you are proof.
She's with God now and all whom she loved that have passed prior.
That Rest is Eternal until you can hug your Mommy again.
Peace, smiles and happy memories to you and your family in the coming days.
xo, love ya bunches!
