My Idiot Neighbors

Ok, they're not all idiots, just one family in particular.

They have more money than brains, and apparently know everyone in town, as they are out there right now at 11:50 with a massive crowd on the deck, in the yard, music blaring and I think I can smell a bbq going.

I just walked out my back door on the patio to take the dog out for a pee pee.
One obviously drunken guy yelled over and asked me if I wanted to come over.
I hastily walked back inside lol

These people do this every Friday and Saturday night as soon as the temperature gets above 50 degrees in the evening.

No other neighbor has ever complained to my knowledge, probably because they are over there.

The couple are the son and daughter in law of the town mayor-who are in cahoots with the police department and all the big wigs around here.
I guess that gives them carte blanche to do as they please at any time.
:glare: :bonk:

Oh I'd like to go over there and grill someone... LOL!
Perhaps I should throw open my windows and play some Led Zeppelin ... LOUD!

AC/DC. The LOUDEST concert I have ever been to! It was fun though, especially when they fired off the cannons "for those about to rock, we salute you"BOOM:clap:

I get to see part of Zeppelin in June; I got tickets to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss at Lake Tahoe:w00t2:

Now you're giving me ideas RNE lol
Yeah... Whole Lotta Rosie at top volume should do it.
:w00t: The windows are now open, and I have it playing-the dog is going in circles like WTH Mom?? LOL!!!!
They were playing country music or something but it stopped, so they should hear me now bwahahahaha!!

Only it's blasting off my stereo :w00t: :thumb:

update: I went to the back bedroom and peeked out the window.. heads were looking in this direction.
Think they got the message? LOL!!

What's really annoying is Spanish music blaring! we had parties behind us when we lived in town that had huge fires they jumped thru and played Spanish music. That was annoying!

you know, if you go make friends with them now, when AW shows up on your doorstep you'll be able to go drink their beer while she eats their BBQ...
or even better, use them as a babysitting service - while you and AW go out on the town, the boys can stay in the neighbor's yard drinking his beer and eating his food!

Aerosmith October 3, 1978 Memorial Coliseum, Fort Wayne, IN (with AC/DC)
THAT was a night to remember!
AC/DC opened for them. Angus Young was just amazing!
I lost my hearing for 3 days after that concert.
Everyone sounded like Minnie Mouse when they talked.
Ahhh memories. lol

I am friendly with them, all of them during the usual passing saying good morning, how are you.. etc...

I think I made my point. They've all become a little quieter now.
Loralei is the neighborhood party pooper:rolf2:

Yup.
you definitely need a visit from Cory to help work you out of your shell!
:brows:
Out of my shell?
Well, there is Stan, the neighbor who lives on the other side of me.:brows:
He's a window spy. I have fun with him when I am out mowing and pulling weeds.
Seriously, how much time can one dude spend at his kitchen window??
LOL!!!

And you wonder if you're still sexy?

maybe you should fix up a couple morningstar riblets on rye toast with sauerkraut & swiss cheese and offer him lunch?

:rolf2: ummmmm.. I think not.
The sandwich sounds pretty good though..:thumb:

they're not bad - especially with sweet bavarian style kraut.
the patty is a lot like a McRib - only with more sauce.
they're also good with grilled onion.

well, time to go impersonate work for a while -- gotta go deliver some hay, then get back to installing flooring at the new house.

have a good day.

I know Erik, I eat these all the time.
Veghead, remember? lol

More traditional Mexican music can be monotonous after a while. There is a big influence of German to it, from when they settled parts of Mexico and Texas.

If you listen, can really here that Oktoberfest Oom-pah-pah, Oom-pah-pah sound to it. And, a lot of that is in the bass...

Interestingly, Mexico also has some really good beers, much to the credit of German and Austrian brewmeisters immigrating years ago.

Yeah but ... the modern pop Mexican music we hear on the radio is based on those roots, but with kids' creativity applied. I love it. If I'm stuck in traffic and see everyone getting all hot and bothered, that music can change the mood to 'not a care in the world'.

But it drives my wife nuts to start the car the next day and get a blast of that before she gets the volume turned down! :w00t:

Has anybody noticed - one of the reasons pop Mexican music is jarring to listen to is because the latest fad is to not necessarily put four beats to a measure. A refrain can end wherever the musician wants - leaving your ears stretching to hear what 'should' have been there according to classical theory. I'm sure the guy grinned when he composed that.

I was listening to traditional Mexican music. These guys were here on a green card picking oranges...Man it gets annoying.

I'd have more fun with a case of Modelo Negro and a coupla Marc Anthony CD's in the house with the windows tight, air turned down, me and Redneck alone.
