Gone But Not Forgotten
I'm down here in this dark little dungeon reading all of the posts that we all come here to read, responding occasionally, when I hear a voice from upstairs call out....... "PaPaw, telephone....."
It's my beautiful little 4 year old Granddaughter on the phone.
"I missed you Papaw. Wanna know what I did today? I played outside at school on the swing and then drew some pictures. When I got home, I made some brownies. I love you, now, can I talk to Grandma?".
It's only been two days since I saw her, but she just had to tell Papaw what she did today. For those of you who have Grandchildren, cherish them. She sure puts a smile on this old guys face.

After being gone for two days I could use of those calls myself.
They're 4,000 miles away but I talked to all 4 of them today and every one of them had a different story to tell but every one of the conversations ended the same way ... "We love you grandad, kiss grandma for me". Every time I talk to them I end up with a tear in my eye. Do you think I'm getting sentimental and soft in my old age????
