Most Users Online

Gone But Not Forgotten
I am sick of the most users online sitting at 152. It has been there now for over a month now so let's do something about it and have some fun to.

Since the last two records for online happened early in the morning central time that is when we will set the new time for and you got a chance to earn some bonus points. If we get enough people on line we may even piss off Doc a bit by flooding his server.

So here is how it works. You will predict two outcomes.
1. Will be how many people online.
2. How many people post to a thread created here called "Here" that I will create Thursday morning or Wednesday evening.
There will be two winners, one for each catagory. Bonus points will be added by myself or Doc.

The time limit will be one hour so we don't overload Doc. The time is 8:00 am to 9:00am Central Time, Thursday April 6th, 2006.

So predict the outcome of how many people online and how many post in the "Here" thread by thursday 8:00am. Be online yourself thursday and post also in the "Here" thread I will create.

Post your predictions here in this thread.

I’ll be asleep at that time bugger,

As for the number online, I would like every number that is not picked, would that be OK?

You can still participate by being online, you won't be able to post unless you get up, but at least enter your prediction.

Good idea Murph. :thumb: This oughta be interesting and fun.
I'll be watching closely to see how the server handles it.

Murph, I think there will be 186 on line, and 80 posts. Do we get something if we win? I've got an eyeball on a nice Miller 175 Mig machine.:tiphat::beer:

OK, so if I am on pacific time that would be......., wait it is daylight savings time now so .........., uh how about 218 on liners and 71 posts and I will try to be on whenever.

I think there will be 160 on-line and probably 85 posts.

Of course, it each person only "permitted" to post once? You could really drive the post count up after each person said "I'm here" if you posted "Glad you could make it." or something along those lines. I think he person should only be counted once in the number of posts.

The "Here" thread has been created. We don't have many contestants yet so make sure you throw in your numbers as at 8:00 am thursday the 6th you can no longer get your numbers in. Yes that is 8:00 am Central time.

Must get your priorities right they do use decimal currency. only got 6/7ths to go.

What time - English time, have we got to do whatever? I am totally confused - it doesn't take a lot!!

Well, I guess I must have posted to the wrong area. Sorry,,,, So I will be posting from 7 to 8 mountain time, correct? Just having a blond moment. and I'll predict 125 posts and 215 on line.. .:pat:

I know there is a lot of guys/gals that frequent here that have not put in their prediction yet.

Doc, just because your forum admin doesn't mean you can't cast. And you other administrators also. Junk I know you will be in bed yet, I think it is about 9:00am your time but try and set the alarm a bit early

Er, John, stop asking difficult questions, no idea, it is summer and the clocks did change the other day, thats all I know :o

To help out with our effort we'll need alot of guests to visit. To help direct them to our site how about emailing folks on your email list a link like this one:

http://www.forumsforums.com/3_9/showthread.php?t=3563

which will take them to the 'not your usual jigsaw puzzle'. Or if you email buddies like jokes send them a link to that ....or some might like the debate forum, send them a link to whatever you think will peak their interest.

Last time we hit 152 it was a whole bunch of guests, and the majority of them were from a new search engine. This number is not going to be easy for us to beat, but if we all pull together we can beat it, and gain a few members in the process. ....and you know what that means. BC, Bob, Dave and I will each pay a buck for a good cause for each and every new member.

Send out a link to that thread if you think it would help some join.

My guess: 188 online ..... 94 unique posts in the 'Here' thread.

We should hold off sending out the links until 15 minutes before our target time. At least thats when I'll see an impact from links I send out ....about 10 to 15 minutes after the fact.

176 online --- 75 posts.
and not many having a guess, what do you folks want, an incentive? Doc how about a T-shirt for the closest guess. I don't ask much.

No problem vin. I have an old tshirt I was going to put in my rag bag. I'd be glad to give that to the closest guess. :D

If anyone hits it on the nose. Close does not get it, it has to be exact. I will give a brand new FF shirt size XL.

Some areas of the Central Time Zone are on daylight savings and others are not. How do I know if you are on daylight savings time?

Sweet!!!

I'm glad I have the capability of editing posts. I'll just change my numbers when we're done. Just kidding.

BC ...always thinking I see! :D

What is the highest you all saw. 35 is the most I saw on.
Since we did not break the record, the high for the day is not kept anywhere that I know of.
