If you had to guess what do you think would be the most common implement amoung those of us with a tractor?

I'd guess it's a FEL (Front End Loader).
2nd most common would be box blade.
3rd most common would be a rotary cutter.

What do you think?

Same here cause I don't mow with my tractor too much. The wife enjoys mowing with hers. I do perceive geeting a rotary cutter for the big tractor but don't look for it to get too much work.

My tractor is primarily a mowing machine. So my most commonly used implement is the MMM or RFM. Then would be the FEL.

I would guess Mower Deck, FEL and Box Blade, in that sequence.

I'm going with the Jerk in a Hawaiian Shirt. But I do think we all have different scenario's and reasons for having tractors.

In fact there is times I just get on my tractor and do nothing. You see my wife thinks me and the tractor are sexy???:D

I've got to agree with Doc,
1. FEL
2. BoxBlade
3. Some sort of mower
4. BackHoe?

Maybe a teethbar too?:tiphat::beer:

Mower deck (out in front by far)
Box blade
Scraper blade (to plow my 250' driveway)

I think I'm the only tractor owner without a FEL.

I'm waiting on the concensus so I can buy my first. :thumb:

And to think, I was thinking a fork was my most useful implement.

Good thought Gary!
I didn't think of a mower in mine or it would have been one of my top 3.
Now if everyone will post what they got in the implement thread we can count em up and see what the most common ones are.

  • scraper blade
  • brush hog
  • RFM
  • MMM
  • FEL
  • PTO generator
  • box blade
  • counterweight- hitch receiver combo
  • 3ph snow thrower
  • leveling drag

Non PTO:
FEL; back blade; 6' disc; 14' disc; 21' disc; weight box; 4 bottom plow; 14' spring tooth drag; 6' back blade; 4 row corn planter; grain drill; 8 wheel V-rake.

PTO powered:
4' tiller; 1 row corn-picker; corn sheller; hammer-mill (grain grinder); 60" MMM; Rotary cutter; small square baler; round baler; 12' sickle bar mower/conditioner; manure spreader.

More...I know I must be missing something...:drink:

Gee, after proof reading my post I can maybe understand why the wife gets upset when I read about an upcoming farm auction and my eyes glaze over...
:D

Over the past weekend I added another tractor to my collection: a 10 year old 72 h.p. Case MFWD w/FEL. Needed something in between the 100 h.p. and the 20 h.p. John Deeres. Now I've got to find some green paint...

Maybe I better pay more attention to what I buy. That stuff was all bought in the last 3 years.

That's a lot of equipment just to keep 2 llamas, 5 goats, 8 chickens, 3 ducks, 2 geese and 6 dogs.:yum:
I think it might be cheaper to hang pictures of farm critters on the walls - but what fun would that be?

I guess it depends on what your primary use of the tractor is...Mine would be

Disk
Brush Hog (Rotary Mower)
Estate Rake

"More...I know I must be missing something..."

Yep.

3pt bale spear; bale spear w/quick attach loader mount for loader

3pt buzz rig for cord wood
