I thought it was a bit late to find them here. Not so. Found a good mess of them this morning on some of my land. Right tasty they are!

Anyone else here hunt them?

Regards, Kirk

Just gearing up here in Elk City . Last year was nuts . This year , who knows ???

I know a few buyers have already phoned in to reserve spots in town to set up .
Last year they local economy grew about 2 million bucks off of the pickers in 45 days .

Do you have Elm tree's out there Alan?

We seem to have a connection with those and Morrels some how.... But not always. How about you Jim, any Elms in your forest?

Regards, Kirk

Not elm . We get them usually in the cottonwood trees. cottonwoods grow in swamp like areas and drop lots of leaves.
I found only one mushroom and it was the late morel. I didn't even expect to see any. I was cutting firewood.
